SEE Worth seeing

Near the park of Biržuvėnai manor, at the foot of the hill, there is an impressive spring called Laumės pėda (“The fairy's foot”). It is a natural ditch created by a spring washing up a slope. The ditch is reminiscent of the shape of the human foot. Hence the name of the source.

The capital of Žemaitija (Samogitia), the centre of the county and the diocese; cultural and educational centre. The town is located in the Žemaitija Upland, on seven hills by the beautiful Mastis lake and the Durbinis stream. Often compared to Rome, the capital of Italy.

Surrounded by the town of Telšiai. The well-maintained shore of Mastis lake from the city side is adapted to the needs of society. There has been created a safe and attractive rest and recreation area. It has bicycle and hiking trails, beach, the built rotundas.

Built in 1536 after the founding of the Telšiai parish, it has been renovated and rebuilt several times. Rebuilt once more in the 21st century, it is a church of an unusual combination of styles.
