Cold War exposition

Babrungas river

The right tributary of the Minija river and the only river that flows out of Plateliai lake.

Leonardas Černiauskas Art Gallery

Ilgis lake

The lake is located in Ilgis Botanical and Zoological Reserve. There is a newly installed bird watching area on the lake shore.

Beržoras village

The old street village, which has preserved the traditional landscape, is also interesting for its values of sacral architecture.

Beržoras lake

The third largest lake in the Žemaitija National Park. The pool area is only 2.4 km2. The lake is located in the Beržoras landscape reserve.

Beržoras Church of St. Stanislaus the Bishop

Built in 1746, it is one of the most valuable wooden churches in Lithuania, characterized by its exceptional architectural and artistic value.

Siberija Observation Tower

From the 15 m tower there is a wonderful panorama of the surroundings of Plateliai and Beržoras.

Plateliai

One of the most beautiful and famous towns in Žemaitija. It has been mentioned since the 15th century, when Plateliai manor, settlement and church were located on the Šventorkalnis peninsula.

Žemaitija National Park and Shrovetide (Užgavėnės) expositions

The expositions installed in the barn of Plateliai manor introduce the history of Plateliai manor, the history of the town, the ethnography of Samogitians and the nature of this region. The first Shrovetide exposition in Lithuania has been created next to the former stables. Tel.: +370 65907918

Plateliai manor park

Trees declared natural monuments grow in the park, and the remains of the burnt wooden foundations of the central palace have survived.

Plateliai Church of St. Apostles Peter and Paul

Built in 1744, one of the oldest wooden, sawn log churches in Lithuania. Many ancient paintings, liturgical costumes and accessories have been preserved there.

Žemaitija National Park Directorate Visitors Center

Provides information on sightseeing objects and tourism services. There has been created an exposition “Mysteries of the Land of Žemaitija”, which introduces the values of the national park. Tel.: +370 44849231
