Starting point: Tukums, the Sun hill (Saules kalns).

End point: Kārniņi cemetery near Tukums–Smārde road

The course of the route: Tukums – Milzkalne – Kārniņi cemetery

Road surface: Small forest trails, gravel and dirt roads, asphalt in Tukums and Milzkalne.

Difficulty: Easy

Obstacles: There may be damp places on the trails.

Danger points: Be careful when walking along the side of the road and crossing roads!

Good to know! The section of the Forest Trail from Šlokenbeka Manor to Kārniņi cemetery leads along one of the Ķemeri National Park bicycle routes – the so-called “Šlokenbeka circle”, which is marked with white–blue–white paint on the trees. It is 2 kilometres from the end of the route to the Smārde train station.
