One of the most important values of the park is the landscape formed by the long interaction between man and nature. 950 plant species and 600 animal species, including 34 fish species have been found in the park. Important natural values of the park are forests, high bogs, juniper grove. In the park, you can see the witnesses of various historical periods – old mounds, Pažaislis Monastery, 5th Fort of the Kaunas Fortress, as well as Rumšiškės Open-Air Museum – one of the largest (195 ha) museums of this type in Europe. There is a visitor centre in the village of Vaišvydava, and there are nature trails in the park, such as the Žiegždriai Geological Trail and Dubrava Cognitive Trail.
