In ancient times, Baron von Osten Saken of Dundaga used the Gipka manor as his summer residence. The residential building of the manor was built in 1830. For many years, the building housed the Dundaga forestry department, later - apartments, but in 2021, a local guy named Mareks Langzāms bought part of the building, who wants to establish a local cultural and art center here.
