Põõsaspea promontory is located opposite from the island of Osmussaar and is the north-western-most promontory of the Estonian mainland. Its rocky ridge reaches far into the sea towards Osmussaar. Põõsaspea promontory is one of the best places in Northern Europe for observing the migration of waterfowls. An important migration route of arctic water birds crosses straight over the promontory.
