The 52-meter-high reinforced concrete lighthouse with 248 steps is one of the most remarkable in the Baltic Sea region, offering a view that extends to the Latvian coast on a clear day.
The Visitor Center features exhibitions on Sõrve's maritime history. The display on the ground floor introduces Estonia's 20 most important lighthouses, each with a small-scale model, and you can explore old lighthouse diaries and historical nautical charts. On the second floor, visitors can enjoy a detailed exhibition on the ships that have sunk off the Sõrve coast over the centuries, along with miraculous rescue stories.
Children are welcomed in an area where they can play, build, and learn the meaning of maritime marks through fun activities – ensuring an experience for the whole family.
