Section 31. Ikla - Kabli.

Length: 16 km
Duration: 5 – 7 h
Start: The Latvian-Estonian border at Ikla near the old road connecting Tallinn and Riga (Vana Tallinn - Riia maantee).
Finish: The Centre of Kabli. Opposite the Kabli Community Centre –
Itinerary: Ikla – Metsapoole – Treimani – Orajõe – Lepanina – Kabli
Road surface: Asphalt (the old road connecting Tallinn and Riga), sandy beaches, occasionally some sections of the coast are covered in stones or overgrown with reeds and club-rushes.
Difficulty level:
Obstacles: At the seashore: damp meadows and reeds that have to be bypassed via the road or trails. During low water, you can wade across the brooks and streams or cross them by bridge.
Dangerous places: During high season, there may be heavy traffic on the old road connecting Tallinn and Riga, which is why you have to be careful when walking along the roadside. The stones on the beach may be slippery.
Good to know! You will need suitable (closed) footwear and walking poles for support. You should avail yourself of binoculars for bird watching.
Alternatives: Vigorous walkers can combine this section with the one of the next day and finish in Häädemeeste.
