The visitor hikes through the fragrant coniferous forest characteristic of Lahemaa national park, sometimes alternating with deciduous forest. Aabla bog is surrounded by sandy areas and dunes. The trail passes Lahemaa's largest rock, Majakivi, which lies beneath an old coniferous forest. There is an observation tower on the edge of the bog on the side of Aabla, from where one can see the Tallinn TV Tower, for example.
