Avinurme lifestyle centre provides an overview of how to preserve, transfer and develop a local lifestyle and craft skills.
The museum exhibition in Avinurme Lifestyle Centre introduces Avinurme as the carpentry centre of Estonia. The permanent exhibition 'Life Born of Timber' provides an overview of products that the local craftsmen have made during various eras and political regimes: barrels, casks, baskets, wooden dinnerware, furniture, shingles and locally made sleighs and wooden skis, as well as many other exciting items, in addition to explaining the link between Avinurme residents and Luther Furniture Factory. 'Hunt as a Lifestyle' introduces wild animals and their lives; additionally, a large barrel contains insects and butterflies.
