Важные охраняемые биотопы от Царникавы до Инчупе: эмбриональные дюны, дюны, плавающий водяной орех в Умми и покрытые старыми лесами приморские дюны.

Создан как копия построенного в 1851 году неподалеку от устья Гауи домика рыбака и паромщика «Cēlāji». Доступны экспозиция и благоустроенное место отдыха.

18 ноября 2014 года был открыт самый длинный в Латвии мост для пешеходов и велосипедистов, являющийся важным этапом маршрута «Eiro Velo 13 – Железный занавес».
