Skuodas

A town in the northwest of Lithuania at the Latvian border, at the confluence of the Bartuva and Luoba rivers. Called the land of the Curonians. A militant Curonian tribe lived here more than a thousand years ago. It is said that Lithuania starts from Skuodas not only because of its geographical location, but also because of its historical past.
